J. C. Egnew needed space to expand his tent manufacturing business: Outdoor Venture Corporation. SKED had just been given a $1.2 million building donation, and the people of McCreary County were in need of new employment opportunities. Thanks to a low-interest HUD loan and an ARC grant to renovate and modernize the 20-year old building, Outdoor Venture Corporation and SKED partnered to enable the business expansion at the newly renovated facility and create 37 new jobs in McCreary County.

"Our recent expansion into our new OVC Central Plant is a prime example of the importance of good partnerships."
